Student Recommended Policy Draft
Our next step was developing a student recommended drafted policy to purpose to the Issaquah School Board.
Second Presentation to the School Board
After the request to build a student recommended draft, we presented to the school board for a second time, also during public comment, to share our new ideas for an Issaquah School District specific sustainability policy.
This second presentation led to my team and I to be invited to the Auguest School Board retreat so we could talk more in depth about our goals and ideas.
We were then approached by two ex-school board members who have expierence in writing policies in the expected format. They worked with us over the next month to develop a policy that aligns with the school district's "Operational Expectations" format.
